WE’RE TESTING THE WATERS TO GUARANTEE YOUR SATISFACTION

ARE Outrigger World, the exclusive distributor of ARE TAHITI canoes for the mainland U.S., is pleased to update you on the new ARE TAHITI V1 rudderless canoe, with easy-snap iako. These state-of-the-art outriggers are now being tested in the challenging waters of French Polynesia and will be arriving here in early March, 2021. In addition, new ARE TAHITI OC1 canoes, with rudders, are also being tested by our expert team of paddlers and racers to ensure optimal paddling performance. Both of these new models are being put through their paces to make sure they are up to the rigorous standards of ARE TAHITI and ARE Outrigger World. These are the same standards placed on the world-renowned V6 Matahina racing canoes.

“These new canoes are outtasight! says company founder and director, Baptiste Gossein, “there’s no other way to put it. They are more streamlined than previous versions, and faster too! I am really excited to get them out to paddlers everywhere, especially in the United States.”

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

The preparation and testing that ARE Tahiti is putting into their one-of-a-kind outriggers is unparalleled. ARE TAHITI would have it no other way. And it allows U.S. distributor ARE Outrigger World to know that they can deliver these high-performance outriggers to their customers with absolute confidence.

ARE TAHITI believes there is no substitute for quality. The best way to ensure that quality is to design and manufacture canoes with painstaking precision and test them over and over, in the challenging waters of Tahiti. To borrow a line from the famous song, New York, New York, with a slight location change, “If they can make it in Tahiti, they can make it anywhere.”

Take a look at this video to see these canoes in action!

Wow! This looks fascinating. I’ve been paddling OC-1 for a few years and love the flexibility and quick reaction of my little boat – and I don’t mind picking up a few medals when I race, either! Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to paddle (I’m 88) but as long as I can hang on to a paddle, I’m going to keep going. As to your boat – where are they available in Canada? I live in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and would love to try one out.

There is a growing market on the East Coast (especially in Florida). If you are interested in distribution in FL, please let me know. There are likely several well established resellers here that would jump at the chance to bring these to the East Coast.
